Timepiece Publishing

I am the Managing Partner of Timepiece Publishing, a family classical music publishing company.

Timepiece Publishing manages the music catalog of Stephen Paulus (www.stephenpaulus.com), a Grammy winning classical composer who wrote more than 600 choral, operatic, band, and orchestral works. Notable pieces include the choral works Pilgrims' Hymn (performed at the funerals of Presidents Ford and Reagen) The Road Home, the opera The Postman Always Rings Twice, and a jazz concerto co-written with his older son Greg, titled Timepiece.

At Timepiece Publishing I am responsible for all aspects of running the business across licensing, royalties, digital sales and promotion. Since taking over I transitioned the business to a new website, repriced the catalog, partnered with a distributor to handle paper and rental orders, and actively promote the music catalog. These changes have resulted in increasing profitability by 20x, 1 Grammy nomination in 2015 for Best Contemporary Classical Composition, 3 Grammy nominations for his music in 2016 (including 2 wins) and new strong positioning as the music industry fully enters the digital age.
